INTRODUCING: SOUP FOR THE SOUL

The Palm Beach National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and Palm Beach Harvest began “SOUP FOR THE SOUL” in February 2021, where local volunteers fill bags with fresh vegetables and other ingredients for local food-insecure families. It’s as simple as filling an extra bag of groceries while shopping for your own! After the bags are filled, volunteers leave them at a local drop-off location. From there, the bags of soup ingredients are delivered to Palm Beach Harvest, where Chef Richard prepares the soup for distribution. The bags of ingredients are also delivered by Palm Beach Harvest to local families in neighborhoods where access to healthy food may be limited by income, location or lack of transportation.

Volunteers from South Florida Communities such as Ibis, Ironhorse, Wycliffe and BallenIsles have fed over 5,000 adults and children since launching the SOUP FOR THE SOUL initiative.
