Palm Beach Harvest: Feeding the Hungry in Palm Beach County
Palm Beach County has a problem – food insecurity – that’s becoming more visible daily. The number of people – mostly children – who go without food grows each day. Palm Beach Harvest needs funds and volunteers to fulfill their mission – to liaison between local businesses who donate surplus fresh food and transport it to local charitable agencies who distribute it free of charge to the needy through soup kitchens and food banks every day of the year. “Donate your time or your dime,” offers you an opportunity to help, especially as the holiday season approaches.
Thanks to big-hearted organizations who care, Palm Beach Harvest is distributing more food than ever to an ever-growing population of needy people.
As an individual, you can do your part to help Palm Beach Harvest by volunteering your time, as little as two hours per week, or sending a donation. The need is urgent. Palm Beach Harvest is counting on the public to help feed a hungry child (the average age is nine) and adult. As we prepare to give thanks for our bounty, please help a hungry family give thanks as well.

Who Are We?
Palm Beach Harvest is a network of people – young, middle-aged, retired – from all walks of life. They volunteer an hour or more a week picking up surplus food and ensuring that hungry people in our community are fed. In 2005, Harvest volunteers transported over 2 million pounds of surplus food to 65 distribution agencies who shared it with the needy. Harvest is making a positive impact in Palm Beach County, and you can help!
